Burna Boy now the most streamed African artiste for 2021
Nigerian Dancehall star, Damini Ogulu aka Burna Boy has become the most-streamed African artiste globally on the popular music streaming platform, Deezer.
The announcement was made by Deezer via their Twitter page on Friday, the 27th of November 2021.
Burna Boy has had quite an amazing year as he won his very first solo Grammy Award earlier with his Twice as Tall album.
It was reported days ago that he was again nominated for the 2022 edition, making it his third consecutive Grammy nomination.
The African giant has been nominated in the category of “best global music performance” for a song titled “Do yourself,” with Angelique Kidjo.
Deezer announced Burna Boy as its Most Streamed African artiste globally for the year, while sharing a video of the singer.
@burnaboy is the top-streamed African artist on Deezer globally in 2021.
