Balogun Ayodeji popularly known as Wizkid is the highest-paid artist in Nigeria. Based on reports, the African Starboy charges a minimum of $200,000 per show. He was reportedly paid $681,200 to perform at a royal wedding at one of the world’s leading private residences, Umaid Bhawan in Jodhpur, India in 2018, making him one of the highest-paid artists in the world in 2018.
Wizkid also made history earlier this year after he was paid a total of $1 Million to headline the Rolling Loud festival in Tonronto, Canada. He was another $1 Million to headline the Let’s Get Free Festival in New York, USA, making the highest paid artist in Africa history.
